Two weekly Bible studies are available at the FRCB. Our Adult Sunday School class which meets before our Sunday morning worship service offers topical discussions of Scripture appropriate for both individuals new to the Bible and those who have matured in their faith. The Monday evening Bible study group includes an open discussion of Scriptural prophecy as observed through careful analysis of various passages from Scripture.

The First Reformed Church of Boonton’s famous buffet dinners are held four times a year, on average. The menus vary with the season and include Roast Beef, Lemon Chicken, Glazed Ham, Italian fare, salads, vegetables, breads and a huge spread of homemade desserts. Though fund raising is an important element of these events, the outreach to the community and fellowship among the attendees is its own reward. It is a great time to meet your neighbors, make new friends and share the love of Christ while breaking bread together.

The First Reformed Church of Boonton helps support Consolation Center, a new home for girls located in southern Haiti. This facility is managed by a husband and wife team, Eduard and Dejuene. Eduard is a “graduate” of a Project Hope boys orphanage in Maillard near Les Cayes which FRCB also helps support. This new orphanage currently provides daily meals for about fifteen in-house children and an additional twenty-five transient street children with no other means of support. Pastor Andy has designed a housing facility for up to 50 girls, and construction of the facility on a piece of property donated to Eduard and his wife is progressing despite the recent earthquake. The group of girls is fully supported with food and shelter, clothing/school uniforms (and education at an adjacent Christian school) through the International Humanitarian Aid Foundation (IHAF)of which FRCB is a support. |

The Food Pantry at The First Reformed Church of Boonton – which is open Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm - has been in operation for more than 15 years. Though not a super market, this ministry provides supplemental grocery assistance to those who need it most. A Bible reading and a word of prayer is given at the beginning of each session – offering a sense of caring beyond just handing out a bag of food. No appointment is necessary, but valid proof of identification is required. This past year we provided bundles of groceries to approximately 1800 families. That amounts to over 31 tons of food distributed. |
